“No idea man- we just work below.” one of the men say, neither looking at me.

I paused for a second and started backing up- I realized I didn’t work there and I didn’t want to get caught by people who did by asking a lot of dumb questions. I turn around to get back to Christie (whatever her name is) and she’s looking at me with big eyes gesturing almost like a “what the fuck” body language.

I sit back next to her a little too close like I like to and she whispers something that I don’t hear. The emergence of a man in a gold mask from one of the unmarked doors, carrying a trash bag and a cheap video game tote bag. He drops it off near the stairway going up, and nods at the two guys sitting down and they slowly shift over toward the doors that the other man came up.

“Yeah, there’s almost no reception down here, guess it makes sense, wonder if they have wifi…” she says trying to browse something with her phone.

I wait a moment to make sure no one else is about to come out where the two went down. Once I thought it was safe I lean back toward Christie and swiftly mention “now’s my chance!” before hopping from my chair and opening the tote bag and shifting my hand around in there. I wasn’t too careful looking through the bag, it just looked like two hoodies and a gold mask.

“You can’t just steal stuff!” Christie says behind me, her heels clicking as she walked up behind me.

“I’m looking for clues… I’ve got some curiosity built up about this place.” I respond

“Like about some greasy black haired girl type of curious? Who taught you how to give descriptions?” she said with a tone in her voice that I knew could lead to a fight.

Luckily though, I switched to the black trash bag instead of responding, and found some clothes something quick.

“I think these are Michael’s clothes though!”

I pulled out some faded jeans, a high graphics shirt, and a ball cap that looked incredibly like it was made by an independent artist. Showing them to her however I was just met with a glare and a shrugged. She was bending toward me nicely though. She wouldn’t know what he wore thinking about it…I was sure it was it. I can tell you now I knew it was it but maybe at the time I wasn’t 100% sure.

I pull out the two super large black hoodies from the tote bag and say “We gotta go down there…” as I slide it on over my head.

“We can’t- wait for what? Do you want to get kicked out of the club? 86’ed?” she says as I hand her the hoodie and the mask.

I look around the room until I see a spare mask hanging on the wall in the upper right corner- I assume put away in a spot it won’t be immediately noticed if grabbed. Taking it down I feel that its a thin wood mask with some cheap gold leaf stylings pressed on the front. Christie is talking to me the whole time with short breaks- she seems anxious.

“Wanna roll with me?” I ask while taking two small bags out of my pocket and lift them toward her.

“Yeah but stop all this” she says, taking one of the bags.

We open the bags and help the white molly chunks into our mouth where they partially dissolve. God I remember her body suddenly like a dream. Rolling together means meeting upstairs again we can do some extra close dancing, and maybe even a little more. Ugh to see those tits- the day dream rush my heads harder than the drugs.

I slip in closer to her whispering “come on, let’s explore…”

She says “Yeah right. I’m in heels.” which super kills the mood.

I was trying to be sexy and flirty. I pause trying to think of something about not covering the dress but I didn’t want to come off too into her so I just stay awkwardly silent for a second straightening my hoodie. I take my ‘cid from my pocket (Laced on an altoid in an altoid container) and slip it into my mouth. I move closer to her and bring up my right hand to play with her hair.

“For Luck” I whispered, bringing my nose against hers, closing my eyes, and went toward kissing her. I grab her hair and go for a few more open mouth kisses before breaking away, head spinning, to enter the mysterious route set before me.

I open the door where the two gold masked men came from, and donning a gold mask, I start down the dark stairwell ahead, seeing a red light around a corner at the bottom. Smoke teased upward toward the top of the stairs, getting thicker as I continued down. I can feel Christie’s eyes watch me as I go, but I don’t look back to make sure- I thought that wouldn’t look very cool.
